Expanding Attainable Housing in Downtown Sacramento
In early 2024, the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) approved funding for The Kind Project, an exciting new residential development at 1901 8th Street. Led by development partners Urban Elements and Fulcrum Properties, this building brings 72 much-needed units to the city. The Kind Project is proudly supported by CADA’s Middle-Income Housing Program, a targeted initiative that serves households earning between 80% and 120% of the Area Median Income.
This development acts as a core part of CADA’s ongoing effort to expand attainable housing options for our community. By providing quality homes for middle-income earners, The Kind Project helps close a critical gap in the local housing market. It actively supports our shared vision of building a vibrant, mixed-income downtown Sacramento where people from all backgrounds can live, work, and thrive.
